Charlotte Dumas - A terra
In the spring of 2006, Charlotte Dumas spent several months living in a small rooftop dwelling overlooking the city of Palermo, where she found herself captivated by the city's stray dogs. She observed them as they gathered in parks, resting in the shade, and listened to their howls echoing at night. Over time, she became acquainted with several packs that had territories in the old town, watching them roam the harbor and market, and gather around butcher stalls. At night, she saw them curled up in cardboard boxes, sleeping peacefully, and found herself reflecting on the transience of time and the profound meaning of "belonging.
